Greater Noida’s Shivansh Singh secures 164th rank in UPSC CSE-2023

Shivansh Singh graduated in electrical engineering from IIT Roorkee. His family profile is as follows. At present, Shivansh Singh lives in Alpha-1, Greater Noida (District Gautam Budh Nagar).

His father M. M. Singh is an engineer in the UP Irrigation Department. His mother Rashmi Singh is a homemaker. Tanishka Singh is his sister who is currently studying MBBS from GIMS (Greater Noida).

Shivansh Singh tells us that he graduated in 2022 and worked as a software engineer in Bangalore for 6 months before leaving his job in January 2023 to prepare full-time for CSE. This was his first attempt and he cleared this important examination in his very first attempt by his persistence and perseverance. He secured an AIR-164. He said he wants to dedicate his success to his family and his mentor.

Shivansh Singh further added and said “It is a myth that any coaching is a one-stop solution for UPSC preparation. Once I identified the sources of all GS topics I contacted them and focused on their revision instead of moving on to new sources. I took online coaching from Vision IAS and had my handwritten notes from the classes’ content for many GS subjects. The only standard books that I repeatedly revised were the Laxmikant and Spectrum books.”

Shivansh Singh is an epitome of being assiduous and how not to leave any stone unturned. He knows how to follow the path of this tough examination with skills and proper strategy. Only because of his dedication and pertinacity he got through this one of the toughest examinations. We wish him good luck and a bright future ahead.
