I.T.S Engineering College- Guest Lecture on “Challenges to Management in Present Economy”
Department of MBA organized a Guest Lecture on “Challenges to Management in present Economy” for our students on 18th April 2017 ( Tuesday )at Naidu hall from 02:30 onwards.
The main Objective of the Guest Lecture was to encourage the students in their analytical thinking and applications on knowledge and mind so that they become employable.
The lecture was given by Professor (Dr) Lallan Prasad, retired Head and Dean of department of Business Economics, University of Delhi. He is M. Com, LLB as well PhD in Management. He possesses nearly four decades in teaching finance subjects. His accomplishments include authoring many books in the area of management.
He explained about recent global Financial crisis and role played by the Credit rating Agencies in various parts of the world specially in USA to give various rating to the companies . He also explained about the Indian rating agencies and role played by them. He further explained about global competition, boundaryless business practices, knowledge era, fast development of skills, and public responsibility of business, environment friendly practices, entrepreneurship and complexity of business decision making. He explained the concept SPEED coined by him, wherein S stands for Skills, P stand for public social responsibility, E stands for entrepreneurship, another E stands for environment friendly and lastly D stands for decision making.
The entire programme was interactive and very interesting. The students of MBA participated in the event whole heartedly, enjoyed it and got valuable inputs on the subject and it’s importance in today’s competitive business scenario. Students also got idea of how actually modern day business firms are interested in obtaining the rating. Students got the concepts of global business, development of economy, challenges for management, how students can overcome the challenges and get better job in current scenario.
