Delhi, 28thJune 2016: As a part of Hon. Prime Minister NarendraModi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative,Government of Gujarat under the Gujarat UrjaVikas Nigam Limited will host India’s largest electrical expo – SWITCH. This biennial platform will have an assured presence of over 8,500 key buyers and over 1,00,000 visitors. The event will be held in Vadodara, one of the largest hubs for the power and electrical manufacturers, from 6th to 10th October 2016. Federation of Gujarat Industries is the organizing and implementation Partner for the event.
SWITCH will offer a unique platformfor companies from Delhi and NCR regionto meet, network and explore business opportunities in the power and electrical sector.SWITCHis designed to be a definitive electrics marketplace and will provide the widest range of switchgears, cables, conductors and fiber optic wires, transmission line technologies, control and automation, transformers, among many other products. This exhibition will also have specific pavilions for students and institutes as well as safety.
SWITCHhas received participation from more than 1000 domestic manufacturers, about 200 international manufacturers, andmore than 8,500 highly qualified and strategic buyers from across the globe.
SWITCH will be held at the SardarVallabhbhai Patel International Expo Centre, Vadodara,and will be spread across 80,000 square meters – making it one of the largest Expo on Electrical and Innovation in India.
AtSWITCH 2016, some unique events such asWorld Electrical Buyers’ Summit (WEBS)and Innovation and Technology Summit will be held. WEBS is a focused attempt to get quality buyers on a single platform to offer an efficient way to do business. It has garnered confirmed participation from Power Ministers of over 15 countries of the world, 30 Power Ministers from India, Power Secretaries of States of India and Delegations from 95 foreign Utilities and 102 Indian Utilities, along with about 1,150 large corporates of India.
The Innovation and Technology Summit will bea first of its kind in the country, wherein innovators will be given stalls to display their work and will feature 15 leading innovators and celebrities as speakers. In addition, an Incubators forum will be available to exchange information with Investors, Bankers and HNIs for giving an interaction platform to encourage Venture capital funding in the industry.The Summit will have wide-ranging discussions on Manufacturing Technology, Asset Management, Renewable Energy and Other Technical subjects. Leading corporates such as GE, Siemens, ABB and Suzlon are Technical Partners in the Summit.
The Event will also witness a pavilion dedicated to resale and refurbishing options.
