Gurugram’s Blue Bells Model School student tops UPSC National Defence Academy 2022

New Delhi (21/04/2023): Blue Bells Model School, Sector -04 Gurugram on 21st April 2023 hosted a ceremony to acknowledge the remarkable performance of Anurag Sangwan, an academically brilliant student of Class XII who brought laurels for the school by securing the top most position in the UPSC National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II) 2022.

Dr Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools graced the occasion and felicitated Anurag Sangwan with a Silver Plate, trophy, and a cheque of Rs 51,000/-. The ceremony was witnessed by his proud grandparents and parents.

Anurag shared his success story with the juniors and addressed their queries. He mentioned that a dedicated study of 10-12 hours made him qualify for the written examination amongst 2 lakh candidates who appeared in the exam last year. From the 8000 written qualified candidates, he still had to go through interviews and various physical and medical examinations conducted under SSB. The day of joy, 17th April 2023 served the news of his name being in the final merit list released by UPSC with other 534 selected candidates. Dedicating his success in the NDA examination, he thanked Director for her unflinching guidance, Principal Alka Singh, and mentors for providing an atmosphere for holistic development for the students. Anurag’s grandfather addressed the school and thanked for unflinching guidance.

Director congratulated the school and the staff under the dynamic leadership of the principal on the accomplishment. She expressed that the school has carved its niche on the educational map of India. She added that to be the future citizens and leaders of the world one must be curious to learn new skills and have the courage to take a stand. She urged the students to be courageous as it helps to decide, explore, and to execute.

The Principal, Alka Singh was elated and said “It is very heartening to see the students giving their best in the journey that we take together as educators and learners.” She congratulated the honest efforts put in by the icon for the exceptional and extraordinary result and wished him a bright future ahead.
