Noida, (21/4/2019): Plastic has become a part of everyone’s life, without the consent of us. We use, see plastic in almost every commodity. But with its ease of usage remains its harm, which apparently are making this planet vulnerable to the natural calamities.
Today, “TREE- Taking Responsibility of Earth and Environment” an environmentalist organization along with some other environmentalist organizations from Delhi-NCR organized an exhibition at Gardens Galleria Mall in Noida, where beautiful artworks made from the plastic waste generated in nearby sectors of Noida were shown.
These artworks are made by the members of TREE and waste is also collected by the members of these organizations. The motive behind this exhibition is to tell people about the increase of plastic in our surrounding and how harmful it is for the environment.
“They have created a room in which its walls, floor, ceiling everything is created by plastic waste like bottles, polythene, plastic bags, cups etc. to depict that we are surrounded by the plastic from everywhere and if now we don’t stop its use in everyday life, it will choke our land and water bodies and will disrupt other essentials of life”.
In India only, approx 25,940 tonnes of plastic waste is generated everyday, and 40% of it remains uncollected which causes choking of drainage and river systems, littering of the marine ecosystem, soil and water
ingestion by stray animals, and open air burning leading to adverse impact on human health and environment.
