New Delhi: (07/07/2019) Haryanvi singer and dancer Sapna Chaudhary joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday in the presence of the party’s Delhi unit president Manoj Tiwari and Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Haryanvi Sensation Chaudhary joined BJP at an event of the party’s newly launched membership drive at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi.
Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP general secretary Ram Lal were also present at the occasion.
The Rohtak-born star had earlier campaigned for the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi. She was seen campaigning for BJP leader Manoj Tiwari along with Bhojpuri singer Khesari Lal Yadav.
In March, Chaudhary had made headlines after Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Raj Babbar tweeted a picture of the singer along with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and welcomed her into the party. However, she categorically denied having joined the party.
Speaking at the membership drive, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said,
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji is the most popular leader in the world, but he is not only the Prime Minister of India; but he is the leader of development and public welfare as well. We are working to make India a great country. So join Modi to build a nation, join the BJP. Make your contribution in creating the great country. ”
