Hema Malini, Raj Babbar among key candidates to get their fates sealed in EVMs today

Greater Noida (18/4/2019): Lok Sabha Elections second phase will witness 95 parliamentary constituencies spread over 11 states and one Union Territory going to the polls for electing parliamentarians.

This will also include 8 seats of Uttar Pradesh comprising Mathura, Aligarh, Nagina among others.


Mathura has already seen a high octane campaign and here Bollywood’s dream girl Hema Malini is contesting opposite Congress’ Mahesh Pathak, and SP-BSP- RLD alliance’s Kunwar Narendra Singh.
Another tough fight is expected in Aligarh where BJP’s Satish Kumar Gautam will fight to retain his seat against BSP’s Ajeet Baliyan and Congress’ Chaudhary Bijender Singh.

For state Congress also this phase is important as UPCC chief Raj Babbar’s constituency of Fatehpur Sikri is going to polls today and he is contesting
against BSP’s Guddu Pandit and BJP’s Rajkumar Chahar.

Other key figures who are in the fray in this phase of election include National Conference chairman and the sitting MP from Srinagar Farooq Abdullah and BJP’s Jitender Singh from Udhampur, both seeking re-election.

JDS President and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda’s fate will also be decided by voters of Tumkur constituency today. Amit Shah had also held a roadshow in this constituency on the last day of campaigning.
