Council of Architecture (COA), a statutory body of Govt. of India constituted under the Architects Act, 1972, is concerned with good quality of education in all the architectural institutions of India including good infrastructure etc. This organization does the statutory registration of all graduates in Architecture. National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA), at Pune is the academic unit of COA, holds various development programmes for students and faculty of Architecture, throughout the country. Amongst their various activities “Awarding for excellence in architecture thesis” for Under Graduates and Post Graduates & also declaring winner of “Student architecture of the year” is a major annual event.This year for selection of award winners COA/NIASA has selected School of Architecture &Planning (SAP) at Sharda University as the venue.School of Architecture & Planning, Sharda University started functioning in the present premises since 2011. The first batch of this school has qualified as architects in 2015-16. SAP has continuously progressed and grown since its inception. Today we are operating B.Arch & M.Arch. Programmes successfully with the approval of COA for 120 and 20 student intake respectively.About the event: The awards programme showcases the best students’ design works from across the country to create a better appreciation of architectural design concerns by becoming a public event. The programme will also decide the JK AYA best Architecture student of the year award. Stalwarts from the field of Architecture are involved as Jury members for judging and selecting the winners, in a public jury attended by the general public, including students and faculty from all regional Colleges of Architecture, eminent citizens and the media.The programme simultaneously acts as a public awareness event, to promote the subject of

Architecture.

 Visitors from NCR approx 500 in number.

Prize money to the National Finalists-

To the best three thesis Projects – Rs.75,000/each

To the next seven Thesis projects – Rs. 20,000/-each
