Ghaziabad News (30/10/2026): I.T.S College of Pharmacy organised an alumni lecture on October 28, 2026, featuring its distinguished alumnus, Prem Singh, Area Sales Head at Havells India Ltd. The session aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by providing students with practical insights into professional life, career development and corporate leadership.

Addressing the gathering, Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group, highlighted the significant role of alumni in strengthening an institution’s academic ecosystem. He emphasised that former students are a reflection of an institution’s excellence and play an important role as mentors for current batches. By sharing their professional experiences and industry knowledge, alumni help students understand real-world career challenges and motivate them to pursue their ambitions with confidence.

Dr. S. Sadish Kumar, Director, I.T.S College of Pharmacy, welcomed the faculty members and students and highlighted the importance of strengthening alumni-student relationships through interactive sessions. He introduced the guest speaker, Prem Singh, and expressed gratitude for taking time out of his demanding professional schedule to interact with the students. He also expressed confidence that the session would provide valuable guidance and help students prepare for their future careers.

During the interactive session, Prem Singh shared his professional journey and addressed the theme of “College to Corporate,” focusing on the skills, mindset and habits required to succeed in the corporate world. He particularly guided students aspiring to become future leaders and heads of organisations across different professional sectors.

Emphasising the importance of the right mindset, he explained that a successful transition from college to corporate life requires a change in perception, consistency and a commitment to continuous improvement. He highlighted several factors essential for career advancement, including maintaining a disciplined daily routine, building strong professional relationships with seniors, understanding organisational objectives, demonstrating sustained dedication, coordinating effectively with colleagues and developing strong communication skills.

He further encouraged students to cultivate professional habits that contribute to long-term growth. These included setting clear targets and completing them within deadlines, making continuous use of available learning resources, taking initiative and accepting responsibilities, demonstrating compassion, stepping beyond their comfort zones to develop new capabilities and treating rejection as an opportunity to learn and improve.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from 253 attendees, who actively engaged in the discussion. A dedicated question-and-answer session provided students with an opportunity to seek practical advice on career advancement, workplace challenges and personal development. Prem Singh addressed each query in detail, making the interaction informative, insightful and motivating for aspiring professionals.
