I.T.S DENTAL COLLEGE, HOSPITAL&RESEARCH CENTRE “WHITE COAT CEREMONY”& “MERIT AWARDS FUNCTION”

The ‘White Coat Ceremony’ and ‘Merit Awards function’ was held on Saturday 13th February 2016 at Vivekananda Auditorium of I.T.S Dental College, Hospital and Research Centre, Greater Noida. The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Major General Dr Manoj Luthra VSM (Retd), Director- Heart Institute and Chief Of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Jaypee Hospital, Noida, Guest of Honor Shri Bachhu Singh PCS City Magistrate District Gautam Budh Nagar, Vice Chairman I.T.S The Education Group Mr Sohil Chadha, Secretary Mr. B.K Arora, Director PG Studies Dr.Anmol S Kalha, Principal Dr. Puneet Ahuja, Heads of Dental and Medical Departments, Senior Faculty Members and Students and students Parents. Hon. Vice Chairman Sh Sohil Chadha accorded floral welcome to Chief Guest Dr Manoj Luthra and Guest of Honor Shri Bachu Singh. The programme started with procession march of the proud students of BDS 3rd year into the auditorium for the White Coat Ceremony. All dignitaries sought Blessings of Goddess Saraswati and lit the lamp. Director P.G Studies Dr. Anmol Kalha shared his words of wisdom and addressed the gathering. He said that this present ceremony is a moment in life to reflect with a focus on social skills, human attitude and values. Principal Dr. Puneet Ahuja apprised the gathering with achievements of college.He also emphasized upon development soft of skills, patient management, clinical skills that college is going to impart to the students. He further added that I.T.S Dental College is making its best efforts that students get top quality education and implement the clinical knowledge on the patients. He also shared his personal experience during his graduation ab out the doctor- patient trust and relationship. He wished the BDS third year students for entering into clinical domain and to do their best in relieving the pain of their patients. Dr Upasana Sethi Ahuja conferred Cloaking and Oath Taking Ceremony. Certificates to Meritorious students were given by the esteemed dignitaries for their academic achievements and improvement. Former BDS students of I.T.S Dental College Dr Drishti (2008 Batch)and Dr Roma Kotia (2008 Batch)were honored by the dignitaries. Dr Drishti was felicitated for her 46th Rank in All India P.G Exam and Dr Roma Kotia for her commission in the Army Dental Corps. Dr Drishti and Dr Roma Kotia shared their experiences as well. Hon. Vice Chairman Mr Sohil Chadha awarded Dr Veena Walia (Prof & Head Anatomy), Principal Dr Puneet Ahuja, Dr Rohit Kochhar (Prof. & Head Dept of Conservative & Endodontics) and Dr Amit Jayna (Prof & Head Dept of Prosthodontics) for their immense contribution as Senior faculty and association with I.T.S -The Education Group for more than 10 years. Chief Guest Major Gen.Dr Manoj Luthra addressed the gathering and mentioned that he was honored to be part of the ceremony. In his address, he said “The Ceremony actually changes the way, the way you change your outlook so Stand by and Believe what is Right.” Hon. Vice Chairman Mr Sohil Chadha in his address said “White Coat Ceremony is a memorable occasion and Patient is your Client to be treated in best possible manner with best skills in dentistry” and I.T.S Dental College is committed in imparting quality education and clinical training. Guest of Honor Shri Bachhu Singh also congratulated the students and addressed the gathering. He motivated the students through his words of wisdom and emphasized importance of building trust between doctor and patient. The ceremony concluded with Vote of Thanks followed with National Anthem. All dignitaries, invitees faculty and students were invited for a sumptuous lunch.
