The I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida organized a sumptuous Fresher’s Welcome Party “Roo-Ba-Roo-2016” for the batch of 2016-17. The purpose of the event was to integrate the newly inducted students in the I.T.S family and motivate them take the challenges during the entire academic journey. Jovial smiles and high spirits marked the beginning of the welcome party for the students. The event was organized in Sardar Patel Auditorium of the College on Friday, August 19, 2016 manifesting youth and enthusiasm at its full flow. With pulsating ambience and flashing lights the new entrants marked the best start of their new academic year. The event is an indication of union among the students and a time to create everlasting relationships with each other.
The event was inaugurated by the Director, Dr. Vineet Kansal by lighting of the ceremonial lamp in the benign presence of Dean Academics Administration, Dr. Gagandeep Arora, Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Sanjay Yadav, Head of the Departments, Faculty & staff members of the Institution.
It was a fun filled event in which the fresher got an opportunity not only to showcase their talents in singing and dancing but also to interact with the seniors. The main highlight of the event was the competition of “Mr. & Miss Fresher 2016” to explore the various talents & persona of the participants. It was scheduled in three successive rounds – Ramp Walk, Talent round & Query session in which they brilliantly show cased their style, aptitude & various talents through dancing, singing, & by giving impressive speech etc. Based on their excellent performance in all three rounds, the titles of Mr. & Miss Fresher-16 was awarded to Subra & Ankita Rana Branch) respectively and Mr. & Miss Talent-16 was awarded to Deepak Singh & Manisha respectively.
The Guest of Honor, Mr. Rajiv Sahdev, Senior Vice President, Human Resource, Moser Baer India Ltd distributed the Trophy, Sash & Certificates to the winners. One of the prime attractions of the event was the winners of “Facebook Contest” for getting the maximum number of likes on their selfie and for uploading maximum number of selfies at different locations of college campus. All the three prizes were won by the first year students. The first, second and third prize of the “Facebook Contest” was respectively won by Mr. Abhishek Goswami, Mr. Ashish Srivastava and Mr. Prakhar Negi. The event was concluded with vote of thanks by the Coordinator of the “Roo-Ba-Roo-2016”, Ms. Toran Kapoor, Assistant Professor, Applied Sciences and Humanities.
