I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida, organized ‘Hypothetical News Report’, an Intra-College competition

Fraternity –The Literary society of I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida, organized ‘Hypothetical News Report’, an Intra-College competition, on 24 th of September, 2016. The competition was open to students of all branches and over 17 students participated in the event. The occasion was graced by Mr. Harsh Gupta, Mr. Ankur Saxena and Ms. Monica Bhatnagar as the esteemed judges for the event. The participants had to present a thoroughly imaginative news report with no association with the real events and people, but in an interesting and captivating manner.Participation was either individual or in groups of two. The presentation time was 5 minutes and use of props to enhance the act was allowed.Creativity in content, presentation, oration and humour were the attributes on which the judgment was based. The best three participants were lauded with shield and three participants were awarded the consolation prizes.The first prize was awarded to the group performance of Ranjeet Pratap Singh and Aditya Dhanraj,second year students from Computer Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Department respectively. Second position was secured by the group performance of Mayank Jindal and Krishna Dagur, second year students from Computer Science and Engineering Department. Danish Ahmed, third year student from Mechanical Department was awarded the third position. Consolation prizes were given to Sandeep Mehta (ME , IV year) , Riya Kalia(IT, IV year), Shubham Tiwari (ME, IV year) and Nitish Sharma (ME, II year). The event was concluded with the prize distribution and a small inspiring speech by Mr. Ankur Saxena, Mr. Harsh Gupta and Ms. Nilakshi Goel.All the participants performed with zeal and made the event successful. This initiative was acclaimed by both students and faculty members. The fraternity will continue to organize such events in future thereby accomplishing its aim to promote budding talent and skills. The faculty coordinators of this event were Ms. Kavita Sinha and Ms. Konsam Gangarani Devi and student coordinators were Abhay Raj , Prakriti Singh, Abhilahsa & Shamita.
