Greater Noida News (31 January 2026): The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on Friday inaugurated the World Forum of Accountants (WOFA) 2.0 at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, with participation of over 9,000 delegates from India and abroad. Addressing the inaugural session, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal said the Chartered Accountancy profession is in “safe hands”, describing CAs as trusted professionals who strengthen India’s economic growth, global credibility and investment ecosystem. Highlighting India’s macroeconomic stability, rising exports and expanding global trade partnerships, he emphasized the critical role of CAs in certifying financial integrity and enabling business expansion. The opening session also featured addresses by Kumar Mangalam Birla, ICAI President CA Charanjot Singh Nanda, Vice President CA Prasanna Kumar D., Secretary CA (Dr.) Jai Kumar Batra, IFAC President Jean Bouquot and CAPA CEO Jennifer Westacott. The three-day global forum focuses on the future of accounting, auditing, technology, sustainability and governance, aligned with India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
