IIHMR University Introduces Executive Certificate Programme on Corporate Social Responsibility
September 2020: The School of Development Studies, IIHMR University has introduced a three-week online executive certificate program on ‘Optimizing CSR for Greater Good’ from 23 September to 11 October 2020, in association with India CSR.
The program will give a platform to middle and senior corporate and development executives. They will learn about the changing CSR scenarios post COVID-19 as well as the desired CSR interventions for broader impact. The program has been designed with innovative and ragogical tools focusing on the integration of research-driven learning. The first group of enrolled participants comprises 21 middle and senior CSR executives from more than 10 companies and development organizations.
The course is delivered by eminent industry and academia resource persons including Mr. Ashok Pavadia, Founder & Director, Council for Research on Policy and Governance; Mr. Jawahar K., Program Director, Confederation of Indian Industries-CII Foundation; Mr. Pooran Chandra Pande, Former Executive Director, UNGCI; Shri Kaushik Sinha, Head, CSR, Corporate Communications & Corporate Services, Magma Fincorp Ltd; Mr. Aniisu K Verghese, Internal Communications expert, and CSR leader; Dr. Shiv Tripathi, Professor, Dean-Training, IIHMR University, Jaipur; Prof Rahul Ghai, Dean-SDS, IIHMR University, Jaipur; Dr. Goutam Sadhu, Professor, SDS, IIHMR University, Jaipur; Dr. Sandeep Narurla, Associate Professor, SDS, IIHMR University, Jaipur; and Dr. Sazzad Parwez, Faculty, SDS, IIHMR University, Jaipur.
During the inaugural session of the program, Dr. P.R. Sodani, Pro-President, IIHMR University, emphasized the changing role of strategic CSR in dealing with the challenges of COVID-19. Prof. Rahul Ghai elaborated on how the IIHMR University is promoting CSR through specialized research-oriented education.
Commenting on the program’s launch, Mr. Rusen Kumar, Founder of India CSR, said that CSR has brought great opportunity to serve society and learn from society. He also stressed that developing an appropriate learning path for CSR leaders is a need for hours. Program Coordinator Dr. Sazzad Parvez shared the details of the program.
