Greater Noida (03/04/2025): Galgotias University, in collaboration with ISIEINDIA (Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers, India), successfully hosted the 10th edition of the Electric Solar Vehicle Championship-3000 (ESVC-3000) from March 27 to April 2. The prestigious event showcased remarkable innovation, technical excellence, and a commitment to sustainable mobility by some of the brightest young engineering minds from across the country.
The ESVC-3000, one of India’s most esteemed solar vehicle competitions, featured two major categories: the SIEP E-Bike Challenge and the ESVC-3000 Solar Vehicle Championship. The competition tested the endurance, efficiency, and ingenuity of participants in the realm of renewable energy-driven transportation.
The competition entered a critical phase as teams underwent rigorous Technical Inspections (TI), ensuring vehicle safety, mechanical integrity, and electrical compliance. The inspection process included safety technical inspections to verify driver safety standards, vehicle mechanical clearance assessments to evaluate mechanical component durability, and electrical clearance checks to ensure the reliability of wiring and electrical systems. A total of 20 teams cleared all inspections, while 20 teams passed the braking test, 19 teams cleared the acceleration test, four teams qualified for braking, two for acceleration, and two for hill climbing tests. Adding to the excitement, a special Red Bull vehicle exhibition enthralled students and visitors, further fueling enthusiasm for clean energy innovations.
The E-Bike Challenge (Season-5) concluded with a thrilling race on March 31, followed by the prize distribution ceremony. Participants competed in a 45-minute endurance test over a 4.5 km track, demonstrating remarkable engineering prowess and teamwork. Team MV-Tronics emerged as the champion, while Team Falcon Racers and Team Dark secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. The competition also recognized excellence in various categories, with awards for Best Off-Road, Best Hill Climb, Best Acceleration, and Best Innovation, among others. Notable winners included Team Mechhorse, Team Trident, Team Dark, and Team Valkyries of Airawat, highlighting the diverse skill sets and technical capabilities of the competing teams.
The ESVC-3000 Solar Vehicle Championship reached its climax with the final solar vehicle rally on April 1, where teams showcased the endurance and efficiency of their solar-powered innovations.
Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, expressed his pride in hosting the event, stating, “The ESVC-3000 is not just a competition; it is a movement towards a greener and more sustainable future.
