IIT Kanpur and GIMS Celebrate Medantrik Medtech’s Manufacturing Facility Launch

Greater Noida News (03/06/2026): India’s growing medical technology sector received a significant boost as Medantrik Medtech, an IIT Kanpur-incubated startup supported by the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, inaugurated its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Sector 63A, Noida. The new facility marks a major step forward in the company’s mission to develop and manufacture affordable, indigenous respiratory healthcare technologies designed to improve patient outcomes and enhance accessibility to quality care across the country.

The inauguration ceremony brought together leaders from academia, healthcare, industry, and the startup ecosystem, highlighting the collaborative efforts that have helped transform a research-driven innovation into a commercially scalable healthcare solution. The event was attended by Brig. (Dr.) Rakesh Gupta, Director of GIMS Greater Noida; Dr. Rahul, Chief Executive Officer of the GIMS Medical Innovation and Incubation Centre (MIIC); Dr. Piyush Mishra representing IIT Kanpur’s innovation and incubation ecosystem; along with healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry stakeholders.

Founded by Priyaranjan Tiwari, Chief Executive Officer, and Prikshit Hooda, Chief Technology Officer, Medantrik Medtech specializes in the development of respiratory diagnostic and rehabilitation devices aimed at addressing critical healthcare needs through cost-effective and locally manufactured solutions. Since its inception, the startup has leveraged the research infrastructure and incubation support available through IIT Kanpur, while GIMS Greater Noida has played an instrumental role in enabling clinical validation and facilitating engagement with the healthcare community.

Speaking during the launch event, representatives from IIT Kanpur and GIMS emphasized the growing importance of partnerships between academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and industry players in accelerating medical innovation.
