New Delhi, 02nd July 2023: The IMD authorities today issued a yellow alert for parts of Delhi and predicted serious rains. The authorities added that parts of Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab will also likely experience rain during the next 2 days.

The weather service issued a serious warning for the rest of the country for the following five days, as the active monsoon season is likely to produce ‘heavy to extremely severe’ rainfall in several regions.

Over the next 24 hours, Gujarat is expected to receive light to moderate rainfall. Heavy rains have fallen in numerous state regions, causing flooding in low-lying areas and interrupting regular life in other areas.

The IMD predicts that light to moderate scattered to moderately widespread rainfall will continue in northwest India for the next 24 hours.

Furthermore, Uttarakhand is predicted to have isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall until July 6. The areas around the eastern UP region will receive heavy rainfall from July 4-6, while the western UP side will receive isolated heavy rainfall on July 5 and 6.
