Impressed by IIGF & IFJAS, LuLu Group International sees good scope for business prospects in India

Greater Noida (24/06/2022): After the successful and awe-inspiring 67th Indian International Garment Fair (IIGF) and Indian Fashion, Jewellery and Accessories Show, Mr. Zohair Chitalwala from the LuLu Group International and Mr. Lalit Thukral, the chairman of IIGF had a conversation with the Ten News Network to discuss the 67th IIGF show and to discuss the future business prospects of India.

“It’s been fantastic,” Mr. Chitalwala said regarding the IIGF show. “After the long Covid break, I think it was really too good to see the setup.” He claims to be at loss for words to express how amazing the response from the fair had been. “We found all the products that we were looking for, more of fashion. I think it was very well placed. I think we can show that India is so very strongly placed in the coming days and years to come in,” he said. “It has a long way to go.”
Mr. Chitalwala discussed that the LuLu Group of Apparel has a very big prospect in India. They are coming with many stores in India which are lined up in every state of the country.

On July 5, 2022, the LuLu Group is opening a big mall in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It is supposed to be the biggest mall in Asia. “There is a good scope for business sentiments in India,” he said. He complimented the Uttar Pradesh law and order and claimed to have faced no issues or challenging regulations in making this possible. “We feel so safe right now, in UP,” he said. “Our MCMT, Mr. Yussaf Ali, has been very keen to grow business over here. With the support of our Prime Minister Mr. Modi, and the Chief Minister Mr. Yogi, I think we are going to do fantastic over here,” he said, confidently expressing to have a good scope in India for business prospects.

 

Mr. Thukral asked Mr. Chitalwala about his opinion on the quality and capacity of India. “The quality is par excellence,” replied Mr. Chitalwala. “We can see the way India is being exposed to the world, the Europeans are coming in, the GCC is coming in and you know we are the biggest in GCC right now with 230 outlets. We know the strength of the Indian market,” he explained. He recalled the instance that occurred last month when Mr. Piyush Goyal had come down to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and signed a Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) with them. “This shows that India is a very important market for the world.” He stated that the organizers and the industries are quite fast-moving and one can see a lot of new changes in fabrics and designs.

“We are Indians first and it is our job that we bring our culture to the whole world. It is our way to go forward and it is our strength,” Mr. Chitalwala humbly stated when Mr. Thukral expressed his gratitude towards him, Mr. Yussaf Ali, and the LuLu Group for coming to the IIGF.

On a final note, Mr. Chitalwala stated that “the youngsters are the future of India, and we can see that future right now.”
