Noida, 19 April, 2022: The Indian Economic Trade Council (IETC) hosted the Office Opening Ceremony of EAC (East-African Community) on Tuesday.

“This office is for the trade development between the EAC and India. All the embassies will come here frequently for trade and we are here to sort out all the problems from this office,” said Anuj Agarwal, Trade Commissioner, IATC.

“The East-African community is the best as compared to other sub-regional economic blocs in Africa, in terms of free movement of people and goods, infrastructure integration and trade,” Anuj Agarwal added.

The event was graced by the presence of Dr Asif Iqbal, President, Indian Economic Trade Organisation and ambassadors from the member African nations from Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda among others.

While addressing the conference, the African ambassadors stated that trading with India will be beneficial for the countries as this will bring more opportunities for both the regions.
