Indian Fashion Jewellery & Accessories show concluded, Business enquiries worth Rs. 80 crores generated

New Delhi – 30th July’2021 – The 14th edition of Indian Fashion Jewellery & Accessories show [IFJAS’21] virtual fair concluded successfully today with visit of over 475 overseas buyers, buying agents, wholesalers and retailers who generated serious business enquiries worth around Rs.80 crores said, Raj Kumar Malhotra, Chairman – EPCH.

Malhotra further said, India has a wide range of raw material and also wide variety of fashion jewellery & accessories to offer to the world market.  Indian fashion jewellery is competitive in prices, exclusive in designs and is a reflection of our culture and traditions. We still have lot to do as far as precision, finish and presentation is concerned and we need to match our capabilities with our competitors in China, Thailand, Indonesia and other countries.

The  fashion jewellery, semi precious jewellery, stoles, scarves, shawls, hand bags, clutch, purses, belts, wallets, neck ties, beads, stones, crystal, hair accessories, fancy fashion footwear, tattoes and bindies were on display by the participants, added Malhotra.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General-EPCH speaking on the occasion said that IFJAS’2021 was the sixth virtual fair in the series of fairs organized by EPCH during the last 16 months apart from 4 Buyer Seller meets. The current pandemic has forced everyone to embrace online technology and EPCH has taken-up the challenge and provided a viable alternative marketing platform to the exporters to transact business.  He further said that the 14th edition of IFJAS’21 has been successful as the exhibitors which also included artisans from North-Eastern, Western and Eastern regions were able to interact with buyers including domestic buyers in the fair.

Dr. Kumar further informed that the Buyers from more than 60 countries visited the virtual show wherein countries like Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Barbados , Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Malta, Mauritius, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay and Virgin Islands Etc. had the maximum participation. Domestic volume buyers like Amazon India, Reliance Retail, Mantra Designs, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Group, Ajio Corn, Qalara, Fernspetals visited the IFJAS’2021.

R.K. Verma, Executive Director – EPCH informed that this IFJAS virtual platform have provided the exhibitors an opportunity to survive in the business as the buyers are unable to travel but can visit the virtual fairs by sitting in the comfort of their homes/offices.

He further informed that the IFJAS fair witnessed webinars on topics like Trend & Forecast – Jewellery & Accessories Autumn/Winter 2022/23, Cyber Security & Proactive Measures, and craft demonstrations of traditional artistic jewellery, stoles, scarves and shawl, meenakari, traditional artistic gulabi meenakari and trends pavilion.

On last day of the IFJAS’2021 show, Ajay Shankar Awards for best virtual stands set up at IFJAS’21 virtual fair were also distributed in Fashion Jewellery & accessories segment.  The winners of best design and display virtual stands included:-
