INDIAN NAVY ASSISTANCE TO FLOOD AFFECTED AREAS IN KOLHAPUR AND SANGLI DISTRICTS .

Kolhapur (08/08/2019) : Five additional rescue teams of the Indian Navy are being airlifted by an Indian Air Force (IAF) AN-32 at around 2.30 PM on Wednesday from Mumbai and will head to Kolhapur. Another AN-32 is scheduled to airlift the five naval rescue teams which had reached Pune by road last night.
In addition, four more teams mobilised from Goa Naval Area by naval Dornier aircraft and ALH helicopters have reached Kolhapur this morning and have begun assisting people in distress near Shivaji bridge and Chikli village. Rescue and evacuation ops are ongoing.
