Influential Manipur-based journalist Nishikant Singh Sapam joins BJP

New Delhi: Influential Manipur-based journalist Nishikant Singh Sapam who runs the Sangai Express newspaper joined the BJP on Friday , with Union minister Arun Jaitley asserting that his decision shows the Narendra Modi government’s all-round acceptability.



In the contest for the two seats from Manipur and Tripura going to the polls in the first phase, BJP is looking to secure its first victory and turn the tide.

Speaking on the Occasion, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said, From Last few year North-East has been a very important part for BJP. In our government we got the opportunity to development work over there. I’m really glad that in most of the parts of North-East BJP government is there. The People from any religion in North-East who had misconceptions has also been broken. I Welcome Nishikant Singh Sapam in BJP.”

While, Nishikant Singh Sapam on joining the BJP said, “I have been very encouraged by the work done by PM Modi in North East. People who are living in the remotest of places have seen developmen. I’m Really Glad to Join Bharatiya Janata Party.”
