Infrastructure Development Most Visible Parameter of “Vikas”says YEIDA OSD Shailendra Bhatia at National Seminar on Construction

One day seminar on “New Challenges and Trends in Construction” was organized at Noida Institute of Engineering & Technology. The event was sponsored by Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University and Prof. (Dr.) Prashant Mukherjee was the convener of the event.

Professor (Dr.) Praveen Pachauri, Director of Project and planning division at NIET was co-convenor of the National Seminar.

Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority OSD Shailendra Bhatia was the chief guest at the seminar and spoke enthusiastically about significance of civil engineering is rapidly changing modern world.

He said, “Modern civilization has very limited land area and our population is regularly growing. Hence it becomes very important for the civil engineer fraternity to ensure maximum utilization of land space. A countries civil infrastructure define its development in many ways and India has been excelling in this domain since very beginning”.

The objective of the seminar was to bring together the experts from industry and academia to exchange their innovative research ideas and share their experiences in the field of civil engineering. The seminar will eventually open opportunities for collaboration among industries, Universities and Institutes of national repute.

Also present at the occasion were Raman Batra, EVP of NIET and Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director,NIET among other faculty members and students.
