Ink attack on Chief Minister @arvindKejriwal and other Delhi ministers a major security breach @msisodia
Delhi Police under suspicioun for security breach, MHA should probe
connivance of Delhi Police officials
Incidents in the past have shown involvement of BJP leaders, a
thorough probe will nail them again
The Aam Aadmi Party condemns the incident of ink attack at Delhi Chief
Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his cabinet coleagues during a public
function at Chhatrasal Stadium today. The incident is not just a major
security breach , but it points towards involvement of Delhi Police
officials in the conspiracy. At a time when the Delhi Police claimed
to be on a high alert after Fidayeen attack in Pathankot, it is
unimaginable that in this state of alertness, an ordinary woman easily
breached the secuirty cordon of the Delhi Police and attacked Chief
Minister Arvind Kejriwal without connivance of Delhi Police officials.
It’s not the first such attack. Incidents in the past have shown
involvement of BJP leaders. In one such case, the assailant was found
staying at a BJP MP’s residence in Delhi. People know that Delhi
Police comes under BJP led Centre and has been acting as political
weapon of the BJP. This attack was not possible without direct
involvement of Delhi Police officials.
Delhi Police claims to be one of the best police organizations in the
country, well-equipped to deal with terror outfits. Now the Delhi
Police or the Ministry of Home Affairs cannot claim that the same
force is not capable of securing venue of a public function where
Delhi Chief Minister and his cabinet coleageus were supposed to be
present.
What has been seen since the Aam Aadmi Party government took over on
14th February 2015 is consistent trend in which Delhi Police either
flatly denies permission to Delhi Government events or leaves the
venues unchecked and insecure.
The Aam Aadmi Party today asks five questions to the Delhi Police and
the Ministry of Home Affairs under Prime Minister Narendra Modi:
1. When Delhi Police claims to have received specific intelligence
about terror attacks in Delhi, is this how it protects its Chief
Minister and the entire cabinet?
2. Was it sheer incompetence of Delhi Police Commissioner Bhim Sen
Bassi and his subordinates that led to this security breach or top
brass of Delhi Police connived with its political masters to
facilitate this attack?
3. Will the Ministry of Home Affairs now carry out a probe and fix
accountability of those responsible of this security lapse and people
involved in the conspiracy will be brought to book?
4. Will the MHA probe the involvement of its local leaders, who wasted
no time in attributing the attack to the Aam Aadmi Party even before
the police could ascertain the identity of the assailant? These are
the same individuals who had circulated fake pictures to discredit
Odd-Even Formula.
5. Do the Ministry of Home Affairs and Delhi Police deny involvement
of Delhi Police officials in the conspiracy of attack on Delhi CM and
his cabinet and admit that what was displayed today was the level of
competence of Delhi Police?
