INTERVIEW: Active Citizen Amit Gupta share solutions to solve Noida’s Major Problems!

Noida :–  Noida since its inception is known to be the most hightech city of Uttar Pradesh. Also it is the highest revenue generator for almost every investor in the city.

From BSP to SP to BJP, many governments has ruled this city. Every party has contributed in the development process of Noida. Along with the changing governments, the only constant ruler of the city is Noida Authority.

Responsible for the development works in Noida, the Noida Authority has been doing every thing to make this city the best. But somehow the ground report of the works done by Noida Authority has a different face.

As the development of Noida as a industrial hub, the residential sector of Noida is also increasing, due to which some basic problems like traffic, pollution, encroachment and garbage are increasing day by day in Noida. The concerned authorities are taking steps to overcome these problems but somehow these problems have become a menace for the residents.

Ten News team reached Amit Gupta one of the concerned and active citizens of Noida, to discuss about these problems and also to know about the solutions for them.

When asked about what are the reasons and solution for the problem of traffic?
He said, “People here in Noida are very living there lives on a fast pace. Everyone wants to reach wherever they are headed to in a very little time. Due to which the violation of traffic rules can be seen commonly on the roads of Noida. Traffic Police here has a limited force and they are only concerned about filling their record books, and ignores the daily basis wrong doers. Authority has taken an initiative of installing tyre killers, which is a good step to stop the violators. But still there is a need for traffic police to take care of the violators”.

On the issue of pollution, he said “The builders have become the owners of the city, they do things according to their wish. They are not concerned about the violation of norms of NGT. Even the Noida Authority is not following the norms of NGT. How can we expect from any other authority or builder to follow the norms when the Noida Authority itself is violating the norms. He also said that there is a need for people to start working responsibily and care about the environment.

When asked about the door to door garbage collection service started by Noida Authority last month, he said, “it is a very good initiative started by the authority but the implementation process is still lacking behind. The garbage collection of sectors is already done by the private collectors, now authority has started it. Instead they should start this activity in village area of Noida where people are less educated and use roads and corners to throw their garbage. So the Noida Authority should look upon the areas where it is needed the most, not just for maintaining the record”.

The governments and authorities are taking steps towards the betterment but somehow still lacking behind but it is also the responsibility of the citizens to follow the rules and maintain the law and order in the city.
