According to “Variety,” the historical drama “Jeanne du Barry,” featuring Johnny Depp as Louis XV of France, is scheduled to have its global premiere on the opening night of the 76th Cannes Film Festival.
The court case between actor Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard grabbed headlines last year. The legal dispute was a defamation case that Depp had filed and won last December.
