Kangana Ranaut, Madhur Bhandarkar, among 61 personalities penned an open letter against “selective outrage and false narratives”

New Delhi: 61 personalities including actor Kangana Ranaut, lyricist Prasoon Joshi, Classical Dancer and MP Sonal Mansingh,Instrumentalist Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Filmmakers Madhur Bhandarkar and Vivek Agnihotri has writen an open letter against ‘selective outrage and false narratives’.

The responses came three days after a group of eminent citizens wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the lynching of minorities and hate crimes, 61 celebrities from various fields on Friday responded with a counter statement against “selective outrage and false narratives”.



Kangana Ranaut slammed celebrities seeking non-bailable law against lynching, says some influential people are creating false narratives about govt & country. Ranaut along with 61 other personalities had penned an open letter against ‘false narrative’.

Bollywood Actress, Kangana Ranaut said,

“Some people are misusing their position to generate false narrative that under this Government things are going wrong, whereas for first time things are going in right direction.”

She further said, “We are a part of a major shift, things are changing for betterment of the nation and few people are rattled by this. Common people have chosen their leaders, ones who disregard people’s will are the ones who have no respect or consideration for democracy.”
