Bengaluru, 14th May 2023: Reports confirm that the new Karnataka cabinet and incoming Chief Minister would take oath this Thursday.
The final cabinet allotment would be decided in the coming days, for which the party has called for a meeting of its MLAs today to decide the same. The party is also expected to pass a resolution delegating the selection of the Chief Minister to the Congress national president. No final decision will be made today, but the opinions of all MLAs will be sought.
This comes as there is yet no confirmation on who is likely to become the state’s next Chief Minister. Supporters of both Siddaramaiah and DK Shivkumar were seen rallying in support of their preferred leaders outside the party office today.
The party marked a landslide victory in the Southern state, defeating the BJP and Janata Dal party.
