Mumbai (India), 14th May 2023: Bollywood celebrities are taking advantage of the occasion and sharing pictures and messages on Mother’s Day. Our favourite stars and actresses have flooded social media with special posts ranging from flashback photos with their mothers to videos with their children.
Sonam Kapoor, for example, shared a series of photos with her mother Sunita Kapoor and mother-in-law Priya Ahuja on the occasion. The images in the carousel vary from childhood to contemporary.
She wrote, “Happy mama’s day to the best moms in the world… I love you so much.” In response, Priya Ahuja said, “Love you so much beta. Happy Mother’s Day to you too. Always stay as awesome as you are.”
Shilpa Shetty, meantime, has uploaded a series of images with her mother, mother-in-law, and children Viaan Raj Kundra and Samisha Shetty Kundra. She penned a message that read, “Blessed with the best of both worlds. Heartfelt gratitude for every day of selfless love and unconditional blessings. #MothersDay #UnconditionalLove #grateful #blessed #love.”
Shahid Kapoor’s wife, Mira Kapoor also shared a video on Mother’s Day that featured her mother and other members of the family.
Esha Deol daughter of Bollywood legends Dharmendra Singh and Hema Malini posted an old photo of her mother and wrote, “The best place on earth is your lap [heart-eye emoji]. Even today …. sometimes it’s just where we need to be. Love you mamma. Happy Mother’s Day.”
Malaika Arora also shared a photo with her mother Joyce and sister Amrita Arora. One of the photographs also shows her with her son underwater.
Director and Producer Karan Johar also took to Instagram to wish his mother and penned a heartfelt message along with a post featuring his mother and his two adopted twins. He wrote, “Roohi, Yash and I are blessed to have you as our Rock, our pillar, our conscience and our heartbeat… Love you mama to the moon and back. Happy Mother’s Day.”
