Kcalpana Kala Kendra 40th Annual Celebrations: Infotainment on “Jal Sampada” enthralls audience

Kcalpana Kala Kendra on Sunday celebrated its 40th annual day with an informative entertainment filled dance-drama evening in which students of the dance academy as well as others performed excellently.
The evening begun with a thumping performance by Panchsheel Balak Inter College students who performed Dhangari folk dance of Maharashtra with energy and fervour.
Therafter Shiv Shambhu classical dance performance enthralled audience.
Ex DM of Noida and present Director of LB Shastri Ganna Sansthan, Lucknow IAS NP Singh was the chief guest of the evening. During his address he spoke at length about the importance of preserving our rivers and saving them from pollution.
He said, “It is really an issue of grave concern to see our rivers in such bad state. All of us citizens have to take it upon ourselves to save these rivers so that our future generations do not have to see them in such state and these rivers are saved from extinction”.
Later Kcalpana Kala Kendra’s talented students took to stage and delivered an excellently choreographed, well researched and nicely executed dance-drama on rivers of various states. Different folk dances from around 22 states were performed during the 2 hour long show. Every dance performance had a short informative video about the river along with its different features.
Performers seemed excited throughout the evening and their parents in audience were beaming with pride to see their kids perform so excellently on stage.
Later Dr. Kcalpana Bhushan delivered vote of thanks and also spoke about her long and illustrious journey.
She said, “Being one of the top most dancers of the country and having been performed in front of prime ministers and presidents, I now aim to spread this art among the coming generation. I have been blessed to find so may loving students and now I wish that there achievements make me proud in future”.
IAS NP Singh Praises Performance, “Art Creates Long Lasting Awareness” !
Speaking to Ten News after witnessing the events NP Singh, Director, LBSGS was all praises for the event and said, “Environmental issues are of great concern in present times. The way Kcalpana Kala Kendra yesterday presented an integrated music-dance performance that not only had information about rivers but also informed audience about the culture, trends and lifestyle of the region is very appreciable. Dance and music can be one of the best ways to spread awareness about any issue. I hope and appreciate that such attempts must go on and in future also Kcalpana Kala Kendra takes more such initiatives and keeps presenting similar awareness dance drama campaigns in future as well”.
