Kejriwal highlights progress in Education Sector in Delhi at the unveiling of AAP’s report card

New Delhi(24/12/2019): CM Kejriwal today while revealing his Party’s five year hardwork, addressed all the members of AAP and media at the party office.

Starting by welcoming all the members, Arvind Kejriwal said that, “Before our government came into existence, people of Delhi decided to vote on our part as they found our party as the most honest party of Delhi after we gained 28 seats before the major win in 2014 polls.”

“Being a new party, winning 67 out of 70 seats was historical in the Delhi Elections. The public decided us to be their representative after the Anna movement because they found us as the most honest of all other parties till date. I am proud that today after 2019 is almost completed, delhiites are proud of the representative they chose”, added Kejriwal.

While unveiling the AAP’s Report Card, there were six AAP leaders present on the dias, which were CM Kejriwal, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, AAP Convenor Gopal Rai and three other Cabinet Ministers of Delhi Government.

Good education and free health facility were among top achievements of Aam Aadmi Party in their 5 years of governance.

Speaking about the Education Sector’s massive improvement in Delhi, CM said, “In our nation there is a huge market of private schools and that is why in Delhi, we have worked on the work processes of Government Schools established in Delhi and you can easily find the results of what we did anywhere. The result of Delhis 12th standard students in Private Schools is 93% on an average whereas in government schools which the people don’t find suitable for their kids, students scored more than 96% on an average.”

“We made the Centre to increase our Education budget and we made it ₹15,600 Cr which was just ₹6,600 Cr before. We built 20 thousand classes in our governance and the previous governments in a span of 70 years, couldn’t even cross building 17 thousand classes. Today, we have best faculties in government schools and we are proud of it”, added Kejriwal.

CM also added as a comment very proudly that, ‘According to me, in the last 5 years, AAP has proven itself as the best government in Education sector.’

“Previously, private schools used to increase their school fees due to any useless reasons but now after our immense focus in the education sector, Delhi’s private schools aren’t increasing their fees annually without any specific reason”, added Arvind Kejriwal.

Delhi’s budget was ₹30,000 Crores and AAP made it ₹60,000 Crores today, which was not at all possible for previous governments.

Adding his words, AAP Convenor Gopal Rai said, “From December 26 to January 7, we will carry out door to door campaign in 35 lakh households with the report card.” He said that seven town halls meetings and 700 mohalla sabhas will also be carried out in the same period.

Kejriwal also commented, “The kind of historic majority we got in the last election, we have done the same kind of historic work in the last five years.” On regularising unauthorised colonies in the Capital, Kejriwal said in a veiled attack at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, “It’s easy to talk about unauthorised colonies, but it’s difficult work for them. Talks can happen from Ram lila Maidan, but work doesn’t happen.”

“We have spent ₹8,000 crore in the last five years in unauthorised colonies,” CM added.
