Kejriwal’s big announcement amid corona: 7.5 kg free ration to 70 lakh people, doubles pension of elderly, widow and disabled

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has conveyed relief to Delhiites amidst panic in the country due to Coronavirus. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today made it clear that there is no ‘bandh’ like situation in Delhi at present, but it will have to be done if needed.
He has increased the quota of ration available in Delhi and has decided to give it free of cost due to the effects of Corona.
On Saturday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal increased the quota of ration for around 70 lakh people of Delhi and announced that 7.5 kg ration will be given free of cost to them.
Apart from this, he announced to double the amount of pension to the elderly, widows and disabled people of Delhi. Keeping in mind the way, the coronavirus has targeted the elderly, Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to them not to leave for parks for a few days and announced to double the amount of their pension.
Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday appealed to the people to not gather in more than strength of five together on Sunday.
He also said that if it is not very necessary, do not leave the houses. He said that 50 percent buses will not ply on Delhi roads during Janata curfew.
He said that due to Corona, we will not allow the scarcity of ration and food in Delhi.
We are increasing the quota of ration and 18 lakh families will be covered by this ration. He also announced to double the pension of 2.5 lakh widowed women. Apart from this, the Delhi government has also announced to double the pension amount for five lakh elderly and one lakh disabled people.
