New Delhi, August 15, 2023: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal delivered a poignant Independence Day speech, stressing the importance of unity and progress for India to become a global leader. Speaking at the government’s event in Chhatrasal Stadium, he extended greetings to the nation and paid tribute to freedom fighters, soldiers, and achievers.

Addressing recent challenges, Kejriwal expressed concern about the turmoil in Manipur and clashes in Haryana, stating, “How will we become vishwaguru if we keep fighting amongst ourselves? If we have to become vishwaguru and become the number one country we will have to live like a family.”

Kejriwal highlighted the need for efficient governance and infrastructure, criticizing power cuts in various regions. He emphasized the role of education and healthcare in national development, asserting, “India will not become vishwaguru merely through speeches. India will not become vishwaguru unless good healthcare is available to all the people in the country.”

Kejriwal presented a vision of India where positive energy prevails, urging people to work together to overcome challenges. He acknowledged his government’s efforts to improve Delhi’s cleanliness and expressed determination to restore the city’s democratic rights.

He concluded with a reminder that India’s progress hinges on cooperation and constructive efforts, proclaiming, “If we work together, no power can stop India from becoming the number one country in the world.”
