Greater Noida, April 3: Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) on Sunday organised its 34th Annual Convocation, 2022 for the Batch of 2020-2022.

The Chief Guest for the 34th Convocation was Arif Mohammad Khan, Governor of Kerala.

A total of 321 students were awarded full time 2-year regular diplomas of PGDM in Management, Insurance Business Management, Retail Management & International business.

Arif Mohammad, while delivering the 34th Convocation address, extended his hearty congratulations to all the qualifying students & their parents. He said, “This day marks the beginning of a new phase in your life. All of you are fortunate to have been groomed by a leading institution which earnestly seeks to ingrain ethics, sustainability & inclusive growth in all its academics & other activities.”

“Our youth has to be ambitious but a sense of values would never allow you to adopt an unscrupulous method to pursue the ambition. Instead it would make you live for an idol or a goal which you consider is greater than yourself,” the Governor added.

Further, the governor highlighted the importance of being compassionate & empathetic while being intellectual. “A sense of compassion is absolute necessity for a civilised existence,” he said.

“Those who are learned & have also acquired excellence in their chosen field but do not possess a sense of compassion & empathy, they run the risk of being demoniac; they’ll be characterized with intellectual arrogance, spiritual crassness & coldness of the heart.” added the Governor.

“I hope your Knowledge will make you to pay heed to those who themselves didn’t receive education but have contributed in making us access the education; we must ensure that their children & every child in India must have access to quality education,” he further said.

Dr. Harivansh Chaturvedi, Director BIMTECH in his welcome address said, “The Convocation day is a land-mark event in the life of passing out students of any institute; arguably, it’s a day of hope, fulfillment & a day when a student’s corporate journey commences.”

In his address, he briefed about the journey of BIMTECH and presented a report of activities by BIMTECH during 2020-2022.
