Know your new District Magistrate – Manish Kumar Verma

Manish Kumar Verma, a 2011-batch IAS officer, has been named the new district magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar. The 39-year-old replaced Suhas LY, who has been promoted as the secretary of the sports and youth welfare department in Lucknow.
Things to know about Manish Kumar Verma:
- An engineering graduate from IIT-Kanpur
- Secured an impressive 61 AIR in 2011 civil services exam
- Previously served as the DM of Jaunpur
- In May 2017, he served as the additional CEO of the Noida Authority for two weeks before being transferred to Kaushambi as DM
- Has held administrative posts in Mathura and Pratapgadh in the past
