Lloyd College launches Lloyd industry focused training program on ‘World Pharmacists Day’

Greater Noida (24/09/2019) : Lloyd Institute of Management & Technology celebrated the World Pharmacists’ Day on 24th Sept ’19 The event was organized in association with Indian Pharmaceutical Association. Theme of the event was “Safe and Effective Medicine for All”. S. L Nasa, Registrar of Delhi Pharmacy Council was the Cheief Guest of the day, while Dr. Neeraj Kumar from IPA was the Guest of Honour.



The important event of the day launch of Lloyd Industry Focussed Training (LIFT). This is a special Skill Development Program in Pharmacy developed by Lloyd itself in consultation with industry experts. The objective of the LIFT program is improved orientation towards Industry Practices. This is a unique training program that is being introduced for the first time for pharmacy students in India. The program was formally launched by S L Nasa, who also released a detailed brochure of the LIFT program.

S.L Nasa said that “I congratulate the Lloyd Pharmacy department for developing such a skill development program for students. No other college is offering any such training program to its students. This training will make the students aware of essential norms and practices adopted by regulated laboratories. Such awareness will make them feel confident when studnets embark upon their career in industry”

This was followed by the Lab Coat ceremony where Shri Nasa presented Lab Coats to young pharmacists as a symbol of the responsibility and authority of pharmacy profession.
An intercollege quiz and declamation competition was also organized on this day where students from 8 other Institutes participated.

The winners for the Declamation Competition were: Shashank Jain from Rameesh bagged the 1st position, Akhil Choudhary from Lloyd stole the 2nd position & Kritika from United won the 3rd position. And the quiz competition winners were: Jessica & Kailash from Lloyd bagged the 1st prize, Nitish Kr. Gupta & Rubi Prajapati stole the 2nd prize, Jatin & Abbas Sayeda won the 3rd prize.

Today’s event ended with a small keynote by Group Director, Dr. Vandana Arora Sethi, who congratulated all the winners and promised that Lloyd will keep introducing training and skill development programs to ensure improved learning and better employment of students.
