Greater Noida News (11 January 2026): Indus Food 2026, Asia’s leading Food and Beverage (F&B) trade exhibition, opened at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, showcasing the strength and global potential of India’s food industry. Spread across 120,000 square metres, the three-day exhibition is being held from January 8 to 10 and has drawn participation from key industry leaders and global stakeholders.

Prominent dignitaries present at the inauguration included Abhishek Dev (APEDA), Mohit Singla (Trade Promotion Council of India), Jens Wolfgang Michel (Abu Dhabi Food Hub) and Ashish Kumar Agrawal (Bhikharam Chandmal). Among the exhibitors, Vikas Makhija, CEO of Bharat Bazar, highlighted the brand’s rapid international expansion and growing footprint in the global F&B ecosystem.

Speaking to Ten News Network, Vikas Makhija expressed appreciation for the role played by India Expo Mart and the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) in supporting Indian exporters. He said that Indus Food has become a powerful platform connecting Indian brands directly with international buyers from across the world.

This is our seventh participation at Indus Food and the third year of our ‘Thela Style’ brand. Today, Thela Style is available in 11 countries, and this achievement has largely been possible through this platform. TPCI has made excellent arrangements, and buyers from across the globe are visiting the exhibition, he said.

Makhija further explained that the Thela Style range includes a wide variety of products such as snacks, beverages, chutneys, soya chaap and other innovative offerings, which are gaining popularity worldwide. He also spoke about Bharat Bazar, the parent brand launched in 2004, which is now present in 18 countries and available in India through leading platforms such as BigBasket and Blinkit.

Our core categories include bakery products, spices, rice, lentils and several innovative food ranges. We currently deal in more than 500 products on a daily basis, he added.

Highlighting the support from the Government of India, Makhija said that the current policy environment is highly favourable for exporters. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government for encouraging international trade and supporting platforms like Indus Food, which have reduced the need for Indian exporters to rely on overseas exhibitions such as Gulfood.

Indus Food is growing at nearly 20–30 percent every year and has become a major global platform. More than 80 countries are represented here, allowing international buyers to connect directly with Indian exporters without intermediaries, he noted.

He also appreciated TPCI for its comprehensive hospitality arrangements for international buyers, including accommodation and logistics, calling the event “world-class” and deserving of a five-star rating. The participation of Bharat Bazar at Indus Food 2026 reflects the growing global confidence in Indian food brands and reinforces India’s emergence as a key hub for international food trade.
