Lok Sabha Elections 2019: “3 lakh Posters have been removed In all over National Capital”, Says Delhi CEO

New Delhi: Ranbir Singh, Chief Election Officer, Delhi addressing the journalists and apprised of the action taken under the preparations and code of conduct regarding elections said that, a total number of 3 lacs hoardings/banners/posters have been removed In all over Delhi.


Addressing the Media, Delhi CEO said,

“The posters removed out of which 30533 are removed from New Delhi Municipal Council, 43075 from East Delhi Municipal Corporation, 2411 from Delhi Canmnment Board, 126566 from South Delhi Municipal Corporation, and 102961 from North Delhi.”

He further said, “Under violation of model code of conduct upto today , a toIal of 151 FlR’s/DD entry have been lodged, out of which, Sixteen is against Aam Aadmi Party (9 FlR’s and 7 DD entry), Twenty against Bhartiya Janata Party (14 FIR’s and 6 DD entry), Six against Congress Party (1 FIR’s and 5 DD entry), One against Bahujan Samaj Party (1 DD entry) and one against Samajwadi Party (1 DD entry) and 107 are against under the head of other non-political.”

“As on date today, 26 cases are recorded against the violaxion in other cases (misuse of vehicles, violation of loudspeakers, illegal meetings and gratification of electors, etc,” added Singh.
