INDvsAUS 2nd ODI : Australian batsman Steve Smith said that his team lost by 36 runs in the second ODI against India after losing three wickets in short intervals in the middle overs.

India scored 340 for six wickets after being invited to bat first and then bowled out Australia for 304 runs to tie the three-match series 1-1.

Smith said, “We lost the match only when we lost three wickets between 30 and 40 overs and we had no batsman left who could score fast.”

He also said, “If we had any batsman who would have known how to maintain position at the crease, things may have been different, but we lost the match there.”

Australia lost three wickets between 30 and 40 overs. Marnus Labuschagne was dismissed in the 31st over, while Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav changed the map of the match by dismissing Alex Carey and Smith in the 38th.
