Maharashtra: AIAI’s welcomes reduction in permission to Hospitality sector to boost growth and investment

“The announcement by Mr. Aditya Thackeray, Minister for  Tourism, and Environment, Government of Maharashtra that only 10  pre establishment licences will be required to start hospital business in Maharashtra which were earlier 70 licences will go a long  way in development of hospitality sector as its a capital intensive and long gestation period sector and today even room occupancy in Maharashtra/India is low compared to other developed countries, said Mr. Vijay G. Kalantri, President, All India Association of Industries (AIAI)

AIAI further adds that the recent decision taken by the State Government for Hospitality sector will boost new opportunities in the hospitality sector and investments which people were looking at since long.

AIAI appeals to the Government of India also to consider such relaxations in hospitality sector as well as other sectors on same lines to boost investment, employment, export- earning and growth.
