Man dies as car plunges

Gurgaon: A 28-year-old Delhi man was killed and his two friends were left critically injured on Tuesday after their car plunged 200 feet off the Faridabad-Badshapur road along the Aravalis and landed just in front of a house in Ghata village. The occupants of the house were lucky to escape without injuries while the car got crushed completely in the fall.According to police, the accident happened around 3am, when the driver of the car, who was coming from Sector 56 towards Badshapur, lost control at a sharp bend on the road. The speeding car veered off the pathway and fell down a deep gorge and landed just outside the house.The car landed with such a loud thud that it woke up people in the entire neighbourhood.

The villagers then informed police. Praveen Kumar, who was driving the car, was found dead on the spot, whereas the other two – Anil and Sonu – were taken to a hospital and are battling for their lives. The car was later removed from the spot with the help of a crane.
