Man killed in celebratory firing
Meerut, Mar 10, A 36-year-old man was killed in celebratory firing during an engagement function of a local BSP leader’s son at Naidu village here, police said today.
The victim identified as Jogender was hit by bullet when the accused Arun opened fire in air during celebrations at the function hosted by local BSP leader Bharat Vir, SHO Falawda police station Ram Raten Yadav said.
Jogender died on the spot, police said, adding a case has been registered and efforts are on to nab the absconding accused.
