New Delhi, March 7: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister on Monday along with Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain Inaugurated a ‘School Health Clinic’ at a Delhi Government School in Moti Bagh which is supposed to ensure the overall well-being of students from regular medical screening to psychological counselling

”I have seen schools in various countries, this concept is not anywhere. Besides providing routine health check-ups to students, the clinics will also offer counselling services to address issues related to the mental well-being of children. Every six months, the students will undergo health check-up,” Sisodia said at the inauguration of the clinic at the Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Moti Bagh.

These clinics are meant for both routine health check-ups and mental health counselling & will be operated from portacabins installed in the school premises.

The Delhi government’s school health clinics are a new project similar to its iconic mohalla clinics, except they will be used only by students from individual schools and would be open during school hours.

The Delhi govt has established 20 such health clinics in various Govt Schools throughout Delhi, where students will receive free of cost physical and mental health services.
