Married Woman accuses YouTuber of rape, Police investigation underway

Noida, (24/4/2019): A case of rape has come to light in a guest house in Noida. The accused youth runs a YouTube channel. The victim woman alleged that “The youtuber has made a vulgar video of her and is threatening her to make it viral and demanded money”. On the request of the money again, the woman has filed an FIR in Noida phase- 3 police station. The police has started investigating the matter by registering cases in different streams including rape.
According to the police, the victim woman is originally from Faridabad. She works in Delhi’s Karol Bagh these days and is married. She became friends with a man named Gaurav Yadav of Garhi Chaukhandi on Facebook. After exchange of comments on his videos, they both became good friends.
It is alleged that Gaurav offered her a role in one of his video and when she agrees to be a part of his video she asked the woman to come to a guest house in Sector-71 Noida. Later he offered her a spiked drink and allegedly raped her. When she came to senses, Gaurav threatened her to kill if she protest. During this time, Gaurav also made a video of the woman.
The accused has already taken Rs 2 lakhs from the girl by threatening her to make the video viral. Now Gaurav has again demanded money, disturbed by this, the woman registered an FIR against the accused in the Police Station Phase-3 on Tuesday.
SHO Akhilesh Tripathi said that on the woman’s allegations, police has registered a case against the accused under IPC section 376 (rape) and 384 (extortion). We are finding the accused and soon he will be arrested.
