Business entities came forward to lend their support by providing vehicles for patrolling all over the areas allocated to each vehicle. It was an initiative by Commissioner of Police Dr. Hanif Qureshi, to involve the common man of the city in identifying any suspicious activity to nab the criminals and prevent any untoward incident. The idea was to depute a patrol vehicle equipped with wireless and a police personnel posted in the market area of different sectors of the city. Bansal and the Commissioner of Police Dr. Qureshi, the commissioner extended his thanks to the hospital for joining the movement of a secure city free of crime.  He informed that under the ‘Public Private Partnership for smart policing’ the police department has shared their vision with different organizations. Under the project a vehicle will be deputed at each market areas of different sectors. This vehicle would be equipped with wireless set, an armed police personnel will be deputed in the vehicle round the clock. The vehicle would be on constant touch with the control room so that any panic call received at the control room can directly be transferred to the patrol vehicle or vice versa. A separate number has also been made public for being called by the common man in distress or to inform the police for any suspicious movement.  He said that this facility would help the patrol vehicle reach the site within a couple of minutes because the area to be covered by each vehicle would be very short.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. S.S. Bansal said that their hospital has always been extending their hand for the social cause and for general good of the society.

Dr. Qureshi informed that like Metro Hospitals, other organizations have also extended their co-operation that includes some educational institutions, industrial units and others.
