Modi govt is selling petrol to UK, Israel, Malaysia at Rs 34/ltr yet to people of India it is sold at Rs 80/ltr: Congress

New Delhi: The left parties have called for a protest on 10 September on increase in price of petrol and diesel, problem of farmers and unemployment issue. Congress party had also announced that they will call a protest on September 10 on fuel price hike.

 

Adressing the Media on Friday, Congress Spokesperson, RPN Singh Slammed BJP for fuel price hike and said,

“Today the Modi govt is selling petrol to UK, Israel, Malaysia at ₹34/litre, yet to people of India it is sold at ₹80/litre.
Petrol-diesel prices had never reached so high in 70 years, Modiji has done that in just four and a half years. why Modi is sitting silent?”

He further Said “In 2014, Modiji used to say that the rupee is in the hospital, we want to ask Modi ji that where is the rupee now? which was not done in 70 years has happened during the tenure of Modi Government.”

“The mismanagement of the economy has led to fuel price hike. When fuel prices were rising during the UPA regime, taxes were reduced to take the burden off people,” added RPN Singh
