Mohanlal Sukhadia University 28th convocation: Enlighten students to work for nation development, says Governor Kalraj Mishra

In view of Covid-19 safety protocols, the convocation was organised in a well-sanitised auditorium where a limited number of guests attended it in-person, whereas others joined it digitally through different platforms.

Governor of Rajasthan and Chancellor of Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Kalraj Mishra also attended the convocation ceremony through digital medium and gave his virtual blessings to the students.

“This is the beginning of a new life for the students. I hope that they will devote their life for the betterment of this society and nation. I feel happy to note that Mohanlal Sukhadia University has moved forward towards developing a constitution vatika in their campus. I am hopeful that it will keep on reminding students about the unity and diversity of our vast land,” the governor said.

“It is also the duty of a university to create awareness among students for the welfare of country and society. I urge all the students to use their knowledge and education for the development of our state and country,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor of Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Prof Amarika Singh outlined key initiatives and achievements of the university.

“Development work worth over 418 Lakh rupees has been completed in the university. A grand entrance is also going to be constructed on the west side of the campus, as per demands of the student. We are also working towards ensuring a student-faculty exchange program with foreign universities. It is our true belief that Mohanlal Sukhadia University will be one such multi-faculty university where excellent facilities will be offered to students from all diverse fields,” Singh said.

 

He also extended his good wishes to the students and gave blessing for a bright future. “It is important to stay honest and true to yourself and whenever you face any hardship, have patience and look within and you will get the solution,” Professor Singh told students.

Sudhir Kumar Mishra, Director general at the Defence Research & Development Organisation, and CEO and MD of BrahMos Aerospace also addressed the students and inspired them to work towards nation building.

“India is a very strong democracy. In this journey of becoming a developed nation from a developing nation, India’s energetic youth need to give their best. It has to be a collaborative effort that will transform India into a golden land of opportunity and right education has to be backbone of it. I request all faculty members to identify the unique qualities of every student and groom them to bring best out of them,” Mishra said.

The convocation ceremony was well-coordinated by University Registrar and comptroller, Suresh Kumar Jain, who ensured that this blend of virtual and in-person convocation ceremony is executed flawlessly. The event concluded with the national anthem, following which the academic procession left the auditorium as per set protocols.
