NAAC PEER TEAM IS VISITING SHARDA UNIVERSITY FROM 6 – 9TH APRIL 2016

A team of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is visiting Sharda University for assessment and accreditation purpose between April 6 -9, 2016.The NAAC Peer Team arrived at the University in the afternoon of Wednesday and interacted with the Vice Chancellor and other senior members of the faculty. The NAAC team chaired by Prof. S.P.Thyagarajan,former Vice Chancellor of Madras University, as part its visit will meet all the stakeholders of the University including teachers, students, non-teaching staff, alumni, parents and employers in the coming four days.. The team would like to know about the level of academic, research and other facilities in Departments of studies, Halls of residence, literary, cultural and sports clubs.The NATIONAL ASSESSMENT AND ACCREDITATION COUNCIL (NAAC)was established in 1994 as an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The mandate of NAAC as reflected in its vision statement is in making quality assurance an integral part of the functioning of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Sharda University known for its core teching values and strong industry-academia linkages has more than eight thousand students from across the globe. The University offers 131 courses under UG, PG and PhD programmes and has students teacher ration as low as 5:1.
