Greater Noida, August 26th, 2022: India’s first Geographical Indications (GI) B2B fair was inaugurated on Friday morning at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida.

India GI Fair provides unique access to India’s treasure trove and authentic products like Kashmiri Pashminas, Darjeeling tea, Kolhapuri chappals, etc.

One such ancient and cultural exhibitors present at the Expo were the artists of Moradabad Metal Works.

In conversation with Ten News, Ikram Hussain, a national awardee artist pronounced that the metalwork of Moradabad is famous in all four corners of the world.

“It is a very proud moment for me to say that our artwork is appreciated all around the world”.
He further expressed joy over the artists in the country who were given a platform to display their talent and cultural products.

Speaking about the process, Hussain says that the metal craft was something that all the children of Moradabad were taught from a young age which is why the art is valued for its quality and the way it is completely handmade.

He also expresses gratitude to PM Modi and the Govt of India for launching such initiatives and events which help to revive the lost art and talent of our nation.

Delivering a message to the people, Hussain says that everyone should understand the true meaning and value of cultural handicrafts and help to promote our culture at greater levels.

Hussain also demonstrated the process, showing the carving of a design on the vase which was extremely detailed and beautiful.
