National Media Club hosted Regional Journalist Conference and encouraged Swach Bharat Abhiyan

New Delhi, Nov 25, 2014: National Media Club hosted “Regional Journalist Conference” today at Constitution Club, New Delhi.The main objective to host this conference by National Media Club was to promote the Swach Bharat Abhiyan initiated by Hon’blePrime Minister Shri.Narendra Modiji.The biggest media function has been inaugurated by Shri.RameshPokhrial “Nishank” Member of Parliament & EX.Chief Minister Uttarakhand. The conference also gathered eminent speakers, social activists and scholars engaged in the political, journalism, judicial and administration field.

The programme today has seen the presence of Shri.Kalraj Mishra (Minister Small Scale Industry) as the honourable Chief Guest and inaugurated by Shri. Ram Kripal Yadav (Minister incharge Swaksha Bharat Abiyaan) the senior members of the journalist Shri. VedPratap “vaidik” ,Shri Ajay Upadhyay ,ShriVinodAgnihotri (AmarUjala), Shri Ramesh Awasthi(Rashtriya Sahara) ;ShriPradeep Singh(Electronic Media ) and Shri NK Singh (Electronic Media) Shri Virendra Dubey (Senior Advocate ,Supreme Court), participated to attend the problems and promote the mission by walking on imprint of Hon’ble Mahatma Gandhi.

Speaking at the conference, Sachin Awasthi (President – NMC) said, “We have initiated Swach Bharat Abhiyan at very large scale by implementing toll free number, where people can call and join the movement, there are no such ways and toll free number- 1800 300 7121 available till now in the country.”

The conference was also followed by a panel discussion on ‘Problems of Journalism and their possible solutions’, ‘Skit on Swachh Bharat’ and ‘Kavi Sammelan’.

 Speakers those who participated at the panel discussion were:-

Dr. Ved Pratap Vaidik – A veteran journalist who served as Editor Navbharat Times. Editor PTI bhasha&several media organisations. He has written many books.He is a regular columnist in many foreign journals national newspapers panalist in tv channels.Expert on international relations.

Dr. Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank – former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand has started his carrier as journalist then turned into politician. He has written several books on hindi litrature.

1. K. Singh – is very senior journalist worked with National Herald Pioneer Newstime Enadu TV Live India media group. He is known face of TV channels as regular panalist in debates. He is actively involved in developing self regalation & self code of coduct within media rather than imposed externally.He served broadcasters body N BEA as Gen. Seceretary.

Ajay Upadhyaye a senior journalist who have been in media since more than three decades. He worked with Dainik Jagran Hindustan Amar Ujala Shree Times as Chief Editor&other senior positions. Regular panelist on tv news channels.

Pradip Singh is senior journalist worked with Swatantra Bharat Jansatta Sunday Observer Outlook Amar Ujala Aaj Samaj CNEB tv Live India media on various senior positions.He is known panalist on tv debates& columnist of various newspapers.

Vinod Agnihotri a senior journalist currently works as Consulting Editor Amar Ujala group. He worked with Navbharat Times I NTVAmar Ujala Zee News Outlook Naiduniya& National Duniya on various senior editorial positions. He is a regular panelist in tv discussions on various news channels.
